History from foundation of the Association to the present day and Officers

Sep. 1962 The Air Pollution Control Industry Association established as a voluntary organization
Aug. 1963 Status of a public corporation approved
Jan. 1965 Publication of the journal "Air Pollution" started
Sep. 1965 Name changed to Air Pollution Control Industry Association (APCIA)
Nov. 1966 Name changed to Industrial Pollution Control Association of Japan (IPCAJ)

Oct. 1971 Seminar for applicants for Pollution Control Manager qualification examination started
Mar. 1987 Commissioned by the Minister of International Trade and Industry as the organizing body of the national qualification examination of Pollution Control Managers
Jun. 1993 Secretariat activity for the Environmental Management Standardization Committee, 2nd Subcommittee (ISO / TC 207) started
Oct. 1993 Name changed to Japan Environmental Management Association for Industry
